OUR STORY

We are passionate Anglers, trying to fish when we can. One day when fishing with some friends, we noticed that we all had slight variants of the same lures. After talking for a bit, we wondered if the lures were maybe softer or a bit different, if we would have had better success. And as they say that was where the idea was born.

We went back home and designed a lure, the “Original Fugly”, it was (and is) not pretty but it works very well. A swimbait with phenomenal action.

We then designed the “Original Fugly flatworm”, a soft funky worm that you can use as is or break up and use as 2 different types of lures. Once again Fugly…..but it work. Works great on trout and bass. Another Fugly Original, the “Original Fugly Assegai”, is a huge worm style flatheaded thing. The name comes from the resemblance to the Zulu Assegai. Great for bass and other large predators.

We started experimenting with other forms, and as we find something that we like, and that works well it gets a spot in our lure bags and on this site. All our lures are hand made in Austria, and we use only use high quality raw materials.
